Application procedure for new projects
Project proposals evaluation process (ex-ante evaluation)
All project proposals submitted to FSSF undergo 2 phases for approval:
Phase 1:
- CV submission (for all researchers included in the project);
- Filled in Concept Note
- Proposed Budget
Phase 2:
After the approval of the project Concept Note, project proposals should be submitted in full.
FSSF projects Evaluation team
The FSSF evaluation team evaluates all proposed Concept Notes and Full project proposals. This team is composed of the FSSF Project Evaluation Officer (permanent member) and 3 – 5 members, which can vary depending on the project complexity, fields of work or research, etc. Project evaluation and final decision will be performed in the shortest possible period, depending on the complexity of the project.
Approved Projects evaluation
FSSF can ask for:
- Intermediate project evaluation (“mid-term” evaluation – usually in the middle of the time period needed for finishing that project). This depends on the situation, on the needs of the stakeholders, but also on the researcher’s environment and ethical considerations.
- Ex-postevaluation (after research is completed), for a variety of reasons such as to build an extension of the existing project, or to perform a new research/project along a similar line.
The FSSF Evaluation team will propose project FSSF suspension in cases when the project is not adhering to project activities and/or budget or is not fulfilling its goals.
