Lammert Baas
Lammert Baas
Lammert Baas studied Food Industry Technology in Bolsward. During his study he specialized in Dairy, Brewing & Beverage, Water Treatment and Management. After his studies he operates within the F&B industry since 1976. He started his working career in different management positions in the Dairy industry. Afterwards he continued in Technical Support and Account Management positions in Lever Industrial, Diversey and Ecolab. Since 2017 he is working as an independent consultant for the Global F&B industry. Since 2024 he is one of the founders and a Board Member of the Food Safety and Security Foundation.
Vladimir Kakurinov
Vladimir Kakurinov
Prof. Dr. Vladimir Kakurinov is a Full Professor in Food Microbiology and Food Quality and Safety, with more than 30 years of academic and practical experience. He is currently the Executive Director of Consulting and Training Centre Key.

Prof. Dr. Vladimir Kakurinov is co-founder and Executive Committee member of the Black Sea Association of Food Science and Technology (B-FoST); Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI) Ambassador for Macedonia and Auditor; Former European Hygienic Engineering Design Group (EHEDG) Macedonian Regional Section Chairman and Training Sub Group member. He is the organizer of many scientific events, like for example the 1st EHEDG World Congress 2011 – Macedonia (2011), 1st Black Sea Association of Food Science and Technology Congress (2016), 7th Central European Congress on Food (2014), NUTRICON Congress (annual from 2014 till today), etc.

He has written numerous scientific papers in many different peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is also the author, co-author, editor, and/or contributor to books and chapters in many international publications in the fields of food quality and safety, food hygiene, and food technologies, such as Encyclopaedia of Food Safety, the first European Glossary of Terms in Food Quality and Safety recognized by the EU, Nutritional, and Health Aspects of Food in the Balkans, Food Safety Short Stories, etc.

Prof. Dr Vladimir Kakurinov was a lead or member evaluator of many international projects, and is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hygienic Engineering and Design, which is accepted in many scientific databases and has more than 45,000 officially registered readers from academia and more than 1,500 companies worldwide.

Prof. dr. h.c. Huub Lelieveld, formerly with Unilever, a Past-President of the European Federation of Food Science and Technology (EFFoST); Founder and Past-President of the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG); Fellow of the International Academy of Food Science and Technology (IAFoST); Fellow of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT); served on the Governing Council of the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST), is visiting professor at the National University of Food Technologies in Kiev, Ukraine, and has been Chair of the Nonthermal Processing and International divisions of IFT. He is also the initiator and first President (now President-Emeritus) of the Global Harmonization Initiative (GHI). At Unilever, he was responsible for hygienic processing and plant design and novel processing technologies. He edited and co-edited many books on food hygiene, food safety and food processing technologies, with titles such as ‘Hygiene in food processing’, and ‘Principles and practice and Food Safety Management, A Practical Guide for the Food Industry’. He also wrote many chapters for books by other authors as well as hundreds of articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and in relevant magazines.
Isabella van Roekel van Rijn

Isabella van Roekel van Rijn studied Nutrition and Dietetics in The Hague and Nutrition and Health and Epidemiology at Wageningen University.
During her study she also took part in the extensive course ‘Food and nutrition security in developing countries’ of Wageningen University, where, together with participants from all over the world, she learned how to develop programs supporting nutrition security with a bottom-up and top-down approach.

Isabella worked for 10 years at FrieslandCampina, where she was involved in supplier quality management as lead auditor of raw material and packaging suppliers and third parties.
At FrieslandCampina Research and Development she was involved in specification management and validation of raw materials used in infant nutrition. She also managed several global transformation projects regarding the use of raw materials in specialized infant nutrition, including extensive raw material validation for business-to-business customers, as well as for business-to-consumer products. In 2024 Isabella joined the Board of the Food Safety and Security Foundation as General Secretary.
